Kim is an award-winning filmmaker based in London. She has more than twenty years’ experience directing premium documentary, drama documentary and specialist factual films for streamers and major broadcasters.

Whether working with the industry’s best DoPs and large production units or shooting intimate, observational documentaries, she is passionate about making compelling, emotionally-resonant, and thought-provoking films with great visuals.

Her feature-length documentary on the JonBenet Ramsey murder case was selected to premiere with the 2021 launch of streamer Discovery+. Her work also includes two films in the drama documentary series First Ladies, described as ‘astonishingly detailed portraits, distinguished in their scholarship, mesmerizing in their drama’, Traders: Millions by the Minute, ‘a fascinating documentary following the people who play the biggest risk-reward game in town’, Pensioners Behind Bars, a ‘life-enhancing documentary’ and ‘a fascinating look at life for older inmates’, My Dad is a Woman, ‘a thoughtful, illuminating documentary’ about two transsexual fathers completing their transition from male to female, and Nelson’s Hospital, ‘an extraordinary insight into life in the 18th century Navy’.

Kim was also factual producer on the Royal Television Society and Prix Europa-winning documentary drama series Five Daughters, ‘an exceptional drama and a powerful, profoundly affecting account of the murders of five young women’.
